Lenovo launches the IdeaPad Y500 and Z500 in India

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 doesn’t offer as impressive specs as the IdeaPad Y500, but Lenovo claims that the Z500 is one of the slimmest laptops in the Indian market. Just like the Y500, the Z500 too can be customized to powered by up to third-gen Intel Core i7 processor along with 8GB DDR3 RAM. The laptop sports a 15.6-inch backlit LED HD display and top-end variant of the IdeaPad Z500 includes Nvidia GeForce GT 645M 2GB graphics card and 1TB of HDD storage.

Lenovo has launched two new Windows 8 powered laptops in India- the IdeaPad Y500 and the IdeaPad Z500. Both the laptops are powered by Intel’s third generation core processors.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 is the beefier of the two devices and comes with a new feature, which lenovo dubs as an ‘UltraBay’, that is basically an interchangeable bay using which users can put-in an extra graphics card, increased storage space or an additional fan for cooling. The IdeaPad Y500 comes with a 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD display and can be customized to be powered by up to third generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to 16GB DDR3 RAM.
The top-of-the-line variant of the IdeaPad Y500 gets Nvidia GeForce GT 650M 2GB graphics card with SLI support along with 1TB of storage space and a 750GB interchangeable HDD storage bay. The laptop features a dual-layer backlit AccuType keyboard and boasts of integrated JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theatre v4.
The pricing for the IdeaPad Y500 starts at Rs.64,290 (excluding taxes) and the laptop comes with a two-year warranty in India, which also includes accidental damage warranty.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 range starts at Rs.48,990 (excluding taxes) and the laptop comes with a two-year warranty in India including warranty in case of accidental damage as well.
