LG Optimus G Pro to go on sale in Korea this week, Full specifications out
Last week, after officially unveiling the 5.5-inch LG Optimus G Pro,
LG has now announced that the phablet will go on sale in Korea this
week and the company has also revealed the full specifications of the
device. The Korean version of the Optimus G Pro features some some
bumped up specifications as compared to the Japan-only variant of the Optimus G Pro, which was announced last month.
The LG Optimus G Pro sports a 5.5-inch
IPS display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is powered
by the all-new Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocking in at 1.7GHz
and is the first device to sport the new CPU under the hood. The new
Snapdragon 600 processor gives am improved performance over it’s
predecessor, the Snapdragon S4 Pro.

The processor is paired with 2GB of RAM
and the Optimus G Pro also gets 32GB of on-board storage, which can
further be expanded by up to 64GB using a micro-SD card.
The phablet houses a 13 megapixel camera
at the back, a 2.1-megpixel camera at the front and runs on Android 4.1
Jelly Bean. The LG Optimus G Pro also comes loaded with connectivity
options which include 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc. and the
phablet also offers wireless charging, as currently seen on the Nexus 4
and the Nokia Lumia 920. Also, as expected earlier, the device houses a
3,140mAh battery.
LG has priced the Optimus G Pro at
968,000 won in the Korean market, which roughly translates to about
Rs.48,500 in India. LG has also announced that the device would be
hitting the US in second quarter of this year, but there is no word it’s
availability in other international markets.
