Another Chinese company Iocean Mobiles the OEM company for Russian mobile phone brands and Avea Telcom Turkey are now planning to set their base in India. They will launch low cost dual core and quad core handsets on 10th March 2013 in India.
There are already few Chinese companies like Mogu, Jiayu and UMI still in queue waiting to launch their handsets in India. Some of the companies have also started selling it via their website. TheMicromax A116 or the canvas HD quad core handset has already been launched and for now is the best that is available for the price.
We will have to wait and see if the Chinese companies (as they claim) will come out with a cheaper and better version of quad core. As per the email from Iocean mobiles they will launch the dual core and quad core handsets in March.
They will launch 5.3 and 5.7 inche dual core and quad core handsets. The dual core handsets will be priced between 7,000 to 8,500 and the quad core will come for a price tag of Rs. 9,000.
Though the price and the features do look attractive the major concern is the after sales support. Also these companies are selling their handsets via their website and are not currently available in local stores or from other popular online sites.
