Riding high on the “success” of it’s latest Windows Phone-8 powered Lumia range of smartphones, Nokia might be gearing up to launch it’s new flagship smartphone being dubbed as Lumia 1000. The Nokia Lumia 1000 has been spotted on China Mobile’s database, which is Chinese mobile operator. As of now, nothing else is known about the device except the name but if naming is he criteria to go by, one can safely assume the Lumia 1000 to be the next flagship Windows Phone device from the Finnish smartphone-maker.
Rumors are also doing the rounds that the Lumia 1000 could be the same phone, which was being dubbed as the EOS till now and it’s expected that the EOS a.k.a. Lumia 1000 will be the first ever Windows Phone device from Nokia to feature a true PureView camera, sporting a 41 megapixel sensor which we saw on the Nokia PureView 808.
Though some online reports suggest that Nokia might unveil the Lumia 1000 during MWC 2013 in Barcelona  but considering that Nokia Lumia 920 was launched just a few months back globally, it is quite unlikely that the rumored device would show up so soon.
Apart from the Lumia 1000, some more concrete evidence suggests that Nokia would surely unveil some new devices at MWC this month. Nokia is expected to unveil a new mid-range as well as a new entry-level Windows Phone 8 smartphone at MWC. Yesterday, a report in MyNokiaBlog cited a source which tipped the blog that Nokia would unveil the Lumia 720 and the Lumia 520 at the Mobile World Congress.
As the name suggests, the Lumia 720 would be a mid-range device and is expected to sit between the currently available Lumia 820 and the Lumia 620. The Lumia 720 is expected to sport a 4.3-inch screen and under the hood, it will get a 1GHz  dual-core processor. The smartphone will come with 8GB of on-board storage and a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion along with a 6 megapixel primary camera and a 2 megapixel front camera for video calling.
The Lumia 520 might be the new entry-level Windows Phone 8 smartphone from Nokia, placed below the Lumia 620. The device is expected to have a 4-inch ‘Super Sensitive’ screen, a 1GHz dual-core CPU, 8GB of internal storage along with a micro-SD car slot and  and a 5 megapixel rear camera but no front-facing camera is expected on the Lumia 520.
With Mobile World Congress just around the corners, all the speculations would be laid on rest on February 25, when Nokia will hold it’s press conference and shows what it has in store for us!
