Karbonn first listed the S1 Titanium quad core handset on their site with limited details and with a price tag of Rs. 12,999 but after few days they not only updated the specifications but also the price bringing it down to Rs. 10,990.
The Micromax A116 a quad core handset comes with an MRP price of Rs. 14,999. Probably the price may fall lower than what is mentioned on the box pack. With the launch of Karbonn S1, we might see a further drop.  There is a good difference between these two quad core handsets.
Micromax A116 versus Karbonn S1 Titanium

• Processor: S1 is with 1.2GHz quad core CPU from Qualcomm whereas A116 (Canvas HD) is with 1.2GHz quad core CPU from MediaTek.
• RAM & Storage: Both handsets are loaded with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage with Micro SD slot.
• Handset Size: The S1 is of course smaller that the Canvas HD.
• SIM Type: Both supports dual SIM.
• OS: Both run on the Jelly Bean 4.1 OS.
• Touchscreen Display: The S1 is with 4.5 inch IPS with qHD resolution whereas the A116 comes with 5 inch IPS with 720p resolution.
• Camera: Karbonn S1 is with 5MP rear camera whereas A116 sports an 8MP rear camera.
• Battery: It’s 1600 mAh on S1 and 2100 mAh on A116.
• Price: 10,990 for S1 and under Rs. 14,990 for A116.
