Looking for a budget Android tablet in the market? Good, because now you have one more option to choose from. Swipe has just launched it’s Halo Value tablet for a price of Rs.6,999 in India. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running tablet is now up for sale via major online retailers as well as Swipe Telecom’s own website.
The Swipe Halo Value comes with a 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and is powered by a 1.5GHz processor paired with 512MB DDR3 RAM. The new tablet from swipe comes with a dual-SIM card slot and supports voice calling but sadly, there is no 3G connectivity on either of the SIM cards.
The tablet gets 4GB of on-board storage which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro-SD card. The tablet comes with dual-cameras and gets a 2 megapixel camera at the back and a 0.3 megapixel camera in the front. As far as connectivity options on the device are concerned, it offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The Swipe also also houses a 3,400mAh battery but how much talk time would it be able to offer, hasn’t been specified by the company.
Swipe Telecom has been quite aggressive in the Indian market since the last month or so and has launch a slew of new devices. Firstly, they introduced the MTV Volt fablet for Rs.12,999 in association with MTV and recently, launched the Fablet F2 and F3 budget Android smartphones in the market for Rs.7,590 and Rs.9,290 respectively.
