This handset runs on the Jelly bean OS with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. It’s a dual SIM handset with a 9.7 mm thickness and 144 grams weight. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor (Qualcomm MSM8625Q Snapdragon 200 + Adreno 203 GPU) and sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash. There is a front camera too of VGA resolution. Video recording at 720p (15fps) is supported, this seems too less.
The TFT touchscreen display is 4.7 inches supporting resolution of 800×480 pixels (199 ppi). Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB port. A 2000 mAh battery powers up the Galaxy Win.
The pricing does look tempting at under Rs. 18,000. However the handset is Qualcomm quad core cortex A5 that is not very powerful. You cannot record full HD videos. The hardware is similar to as seen on the Karbonn Titanium S1, but being a Samsung brand the company might have tweaked the OS and the performance might be slightly better than the Karbonn S1.
Having said that, the hardware is no match to the quad core handsets that are powered by MediaTek processor. Instead of the Galaxy Win it would be wise to buy the Samsung Galaxy Grand that you can get for just about the same price.
